Cells and Biological - Molecules

The Cells are the basic building-blocks of all the living-things. The very simplest living things, such as yeast which consist of a single cell, self-sufficient cell. Complex creatures are more familiar to us, such as plants, animals and humans, are made of many different types of cells, each of cell which performs a very specific task. Inspite of the extra-ordinary diversity of cell types in the living things, which is most striking is their remarkable similarities. This unity of life at the cellular level provide the foundation for bio-technology. All cells have the same basic design, are made of the same construction materials and operate using essentially the same process. DNA (de-oxy-ribo-nucleic acid), the genetic material of almost all living things, direct cell operation and
construction , while proteins can do all the works. Because DNA contains the information for making proteins, it directs those cell process by determining which proteins are produced and when. All cells speak the same genetic language. DNA information manual of one cell can be reads and implements by cells from other living things. Because the genetic instructions to make a certain protein is already understand by many different cell types, the technologies based on cells and biologica- molecules gives us great flexibility in using nature’s diversity. In addition, the cells and biological molecules are extra-ordinarily specific in their interactions. As the result, the bio-technology products can often solve specific problems, generate gentler or few side effects and also have fewer un intended consequences. Specific precise predictable. Those are the words that best describe nowadays bio-technology.
